Smartsheet Dark Mode

Smartsheet has no native dark mode. The interface is built around a bright white and light grey palette across sheets, reports, dashboards, and tool panels. For users who work long hours in Smartsheet or in low-light environments, the constant bright background causes eye strain that no Smartsheet setting can address.

The daily workaround

Bright white interface all day: Smartsheet's default light theme is fixed — there is no appearance setting or theme switcher anywhere in the product.
Eye strain in low-light environments: Working in a dark room or at night with a full-brightness Smartsheet tab is fatiguing, with no way to reduce glare from within the app.
OS dark mode has no effect: Enabling dark mode at the operating system or browser level does not change the Smartsheet UI, which ignores the system preference.
